Time For New Ideas and Change....

At our LB644 hearing, we said a lot of things that the commissioners then denied, saying "don't believe everything you read on facebook", etc.

This represents a 66% increase in pay since the 2015-2016 year. That is a lot of money.

I promised in October we will start to present evidence of what we are saying is true. This morning we present county budget pages showing the pay increase the commissioners just voted for themselves.

We don't deny that people need pay increases. Our county workers are struggling and we completely support our workers, no questions. Give them an increase. Commissioner went above and beyond with their own pay increase.

At the budget meeting, I ask the Commissioners about this increase and Commissioner Miller said: "well we are not going to take it all, I will probably only take $100". But they do take it all and the budgets show that once it is in the budget, they spend it. Since it is budgeted for, we also pay immediately that in taxes.

These issues will be for everyone to decide. We will be presenting evidence throughout the month of our findings.
